What is it?

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure in which the shape or size of the nose is changed to give facial harmony and a symmetrical appearance to the patient’s face.

It can also be performed for people with breathing difficulties due to a structural defect of the nose.

Candidates
The 80% of the candidates for Rhinoplasty are people who want to change their facial features and have a more proportionate nose that gives a better appearance to the face.  The other 20% are people who want to undergo surgery because they have suffered injuries that prevent them from breathing normally or suffer from respiratory problems related to the nose exclusively.

You are a viable candidate for nose surgery if:

  • Your facial growth is complete
  • You are physically healthy
  • You do not smoke
  • You have a healthy expectation and realistic goals in improving your appearance
